Hunter, Buckalew

George Hunter and Bobbie Hunter Thompson of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Jeanie Rene Hunter, to Christopher Alan Buckalew, son of Alan and Vicki Buckalew of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at 1 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church in Meridian.
Miss Hunter is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Hunter Sr. of Meridian, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bob Urston of Lauderdale.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School. She has worked in retail management for several years and plans to enroll in the dental hygiene program at Meridian Community College in the near future. Miss Hunter is employed by Old Navy.
Mr. Buckalew is the grandson of Ruby J. Buckalew of Meridian and the late Ottis R. Buckalew.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Southeast High School and is attending Meridian Community College where he will graduate in May with a degree in nursing. He is the vice president of the Organization of Student Nurses. Mr. Buckalew is also a served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Buckalew is employed by Rush Foundation Hospital where he works in the critical care unit.
A reception will be held in the family life center at the church following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
