Alice Sullivan Taylor
Retired from Alabama Power Company
YORK, Ala. Services for Alice Sullivan Taylor will be held today at 3 p.m. at Livingston United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tim Meadows officiating. Burial will be in Myrtlewood Cemetery with Bumpers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Taylor, 100, of Livingston, Ala., died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at King's Daughters and Sons Rest Home.
Survivors include her son, Bobby Sullivan of Millersville, Ala.; a daughter, Mary Alice Bowder of Greensboro, S.C.; a sister, Eleanor Phillips of Meridian; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Livingston United Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
Jay Smith
NEWTON Services for Jay Smith will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Clarke Venable Baptist Church in Decatur. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Smith, 92, of Decatur, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, in his home.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Clinton McClure
Forester and land surveyor
YORK, Ala. Services for Clinton McClure will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Livingston United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tim Meadows officiating. Burial will be in Myrtlewood Cemetery. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McClure, 93, of Livingston, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at the Specialty Hospital of Meridian. He was a forester and land surveyor with American Can. He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his granddaughter, Angela McClure Hammond of Huntsville, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Avis, and a son, John.
Memorials may be made to Livingston United Methodist Church, Boy Scouts of America, Auburn University or a favorite charity.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Eunice Harris Stone
Homemaker
Graveside services for Eunice Harris Stone will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Semmes Cemetery with the Rev. Allan Singletary officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jones, 103, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at White Nursing Home. She was a member of State Boulevard Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, James W. Stone Jr. of Meridian; a daughter-in-law, Eloise Stone of Meridian; grandsons, John Scott Stone and his wife, Deborah, of Atlanta and James Marcus Stone and his wife, Diane; great-grandsons, Mathew Steven Stone, Kevin Stafford, Christopher Smith and Justin Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Stone Sr.; her parents, John Harris and Lula Miller Harris.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
Visitation will be Friday 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Margaret Doris Ethridge
ST. CHARLES, Ill. Memorial services for Margaret Doris Ethridge will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Hosanna Lutheran Church. Norris Funeral Home of St. Charles is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ethridge, 82, of South Elgin, Ill., died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002, at Tower Hill Health Care Center in South Elgin.
She was born in Collinsville, Miss., the daughter of Simon Adolph and Etoile Mayatte Brieger.
She had been employed with J.C. Penney for 12 years and attended Faith Lutheran Church of Geneva. She took pleasure in helping others to know Christ as their personal savior and delighted in the ability to watch her children and grandchildren grow in their faith and beliefs.
Survivors include her children, Adrain Ethridge and his wife, Diane, of Houston, Texas, Sylvia Pierce and her husband, Carroll, of Marietta, Ga., and Janet Hornbostel and her husband, James, of St. Charles; six grandchildren, Lisa and Tammy Ethridge, both of Houston, Texas, Phil and Suzanne Pierce, both of Marietta, Ga., Jennifer and Joel Hornbostel, both of St. Charles; a sister, Lucille Coldwell and her husband, Buck, of Meridian; and two brothers, Jim and Alan Brieger, both of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Edwin and Jerry Brieger.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4709 Golf Rd., Skokie, IL 60076.

Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home of Newton for infant Bianca Nickole Pyne of Newton, who died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
