JoAnna Michelle May and Christopher Brian Bearden, both of Collinsville, were married Friday, July 12, 2002, at Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Grubbs officiating.
Parents of the couple are Cheryl May of Collinsville, Mr. and Mrs. Gene May of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Bearden of Collinsville.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Homer and Louise May, and the late Jessie and Lottie Emmons.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Dot Bearden and the late W. F. Bearden, A.L. and Cora Clark and the late Maudine Hagwood.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Robin Hull, pianist; Susan Jones and the Rev. Wayne Smith, soloists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white formal gown of matte satin. It featured an A-line halter top with an empire waistline bodice with a pearl floral pattern with bugle beads. The skirt flowed into a chapel-length train. She wore an elbow-length silk illusion veil trimmed in satin cording attached to a pearl headpiece. She carried a teardrop of white roses, white calla lilies, lavender, freesia and orchids.
Maid of honor was Heather Williams of Collinsville. Bridesmaid was Courtney Hatcher of Meridian.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsman and ushers were Andy Hatcher and Sammy Dearman, both of Meridian, and Sam McKee of Collinsville.
Guest book attendant was Brandy Dearman.
A reception was held in the family life center of the church following the ceremony.
Assisting were Theresa McKee, Tanya Oliver, Mary Russell, Juanita Russell, Glenda McKinion and Deidra Dickerson.
After a honeymoon in the Smoky Mountains, the couple reside in Collinsville.
