The marriage of Jessica Jill Dodson and Trinity Wayne Lewis was solemnized Saturday, March 2, 2002, at New Hope Baptist Church in Meridian. The 6 p.m. ceremony was performed by the Rev. Roy Dabbs.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hays and Lloyd Dodson of Meridian. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. William Felks and Wayne Lewis of Meridian.
Nuptial music was provided by Michael Gibson, organist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an A-line sheath of matte satin. The strapless empire bodice was delicately decorated with a narrow band of rhinestone beading and pearls at the neckline and again at the waistline. Matching beading and pearls also decorated the hemline. The detachable wateau train featured an open overlay with clusters of pearls and rhinestones cascading down. Her fingertip veil of silk illusion was accented with scattered pearls and a princess tiara of rhinestones and pearls. She carried a simple cascade of white calla lilies.
Kelly Hall attended her sister as matron of honor. Kasey Reid served as maid of honor. Other attendants were Reanna McKissack, Hannah Pickard, Casey Pope, Shelby Shull and Adrian Spidle, all of Meridian.
Flower girl was Hannah Claire Echols of Stockbridge, Ga.
Ray Gordon, grandfather of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Griffith of Clinton, Kevin Frazier, Chris Haguewood, Ritchie Hall, Robby Reynolds and Trint Shull, all of Meridian.
Ushers were Kyle Dodson of Madison, Marc Jay of Bogart, Ga., and Brad Reynolds of Meridian. Ring bearers were Parker Dixon of Meridian and Jonah Echols of Stockbridge.
Guest book attendants were Linnie Dowden and Joni Haguewood, both of Meridian. Program attendants were Haley Davis and Megan Miller of Meridian.
Junior attendants were Hailey and Michael Johnston of Meridian.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Holiday Inn Express in Meridian. Music was provided by the band "Groove Unit." Reception attendants were Sarah Boling, Jolie Carle, Gina Gunter, Becky Reynolds, Samantha Shelby and Lindsey Granger.
Following a honeymoon on a Caribbean cruise, the couple will reside in Meridian.
