UNION Services for June Herd Roberts will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at Clarke-Venable Baptist Church in Decatur with the Rev. Stan Buckley officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Roberts, 53, of Union, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Clarke-Venable Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Spike Roberts, a son, John Thomas Roberts, a daughter, Liz Roberts and her parents, Thomas and Sarah Herd, all of Union.
Pallbearers will be her former classmates, Gary Pace, Ronnie Spivey, Terry McMullen, Wiley Walker, Charles Scoggin and Jerry Johnson.
LURA MARGARET D. CAMPBELL
Services for Lura Margaret D. Campbell will be held today at 11 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Gunn officiating. Burial will be in Sageville Cemetery.
Mrs. Campbell, of Meridian, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, in her home.
Survivors include her husband Bennie Campbell, a daughter, Gift Rainey and her husband Kevin, and two grandchildren, Andy Rainey and Ashley Rainey, all of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pascal and Nona Drew.
MARY NANNIE SMITH DAVIDSON
QUITMAN Services for Mary Nannie Smith Davidson will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Snell Church of God with the Rev. Bernice Fleming officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Davidson, 84, of the Snell Community, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include a brother, Dennis Smith of Meridian; a sister, June Deason of Shreveport, La.; three grandchildren, Tammy Yates, Tommy Davidson Jr. and Todd Davidson, all of Meridian; six great-grandchildren, Michael Davidson, Justin Davidson, Colton Davidson, Tyler Yates, Nolan Yates and Cameron Davidson, all of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Davidson; and a son, Tommy Davidson Sr.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Davidson Jr., Todd Davidson, Sidney Yates, Stan Smith, Spencer Smith and Daryl Copeland.
Visitation will be today beginning at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Ethel Houston will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. Barron Pilgrim and James Young officiating. Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Houston, 95, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Neshoba County Nursing Home.
Survivors include three daughters, Frances Williamson of Philadelphia, Bobbie Gardner of Meridian and Jeanetta Rigdon of Little Rock; sons, Clayton D. Houston of Orange Park, Fla., Billy Houston of Newton and John Steele of Philadelphia; a sister, Jimmie Woodward of Union; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Mattie McClinton will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Enterprise Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.W. Perrien officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Ms. McClinton, 56, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include three brothers, Frank McClinton, Sedric Clayton and his wife, Shirley, and Eddie Clayton, all of Meridian; and a sister, Margie May of Youngstown, Ohio.
WALTER ELMO THOMASON

COLUMBUS Services for Walter Elmo Thomason will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Bevill Hill Methodist Church in Louisville with the Rev. Bill Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Lowndes Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Thomason, 86, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at Aurora Australis Lodge Nursing Home in Columbus. He was self-employed as a logger in the timber business for 40 years.
Survivors include six daughters, Peggy Warren of Scooba, Billie Trussell of Caledonia, Bettye Meadows of Columbus, Donnie Sue Foster of Jackson, Mary Hinson of Columbus and Linda Clardy of Millport, Ala.; two sons, Walter Thomason of Mobile, Ala., and Willie Joe Thomason of Caledonia; 21 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made to Bevill Hill Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Norma Jackson, 245 Waymon Williams Rd., Sturgis, MS 39766.
Visitation will be Tuesday 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ulma Gertrude Smith Thomason.
