    WILLIAM LEE BALLARD
    Retired truck driver
    Graveside services for William Lee Ballard will be held today at 2 p.m. at Devoe Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Miles officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Ballard, 77, of Causeyville, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, in his home.
    Survivors include a daughter, Linda Guthrie of Columbus; a stepson, Jimmy James Jr. of Meridian; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Ballard; and a sister, Mildred Smith.
    Visitation will be today 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
    ROBERT LEE MURRAY
    Retired factory worker
    DEKALB Services for Robert Lee Murray will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Center Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Beckwith officiating. Burial will be in Jerusalem Cemetery with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Murray, 74, of DeKalb, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Survivors include his wife, Isbella G. Murray of DeKalb; three sons, Sherman Murray and his wife, Hazel, of Philadelphia, Frederick Murray of DeKalb and Carl Murray and his wife, LaDonna, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; three daughters, Shirlane McDade and her husband, Jessie, of DeKalb, Vienolor McWilliams and her husband, Louis, and Mayolor Clemons and her husband, Winfred, all of Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by a son and six siblings.
    Visitation will be today from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home and Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.
    R.C. HILLMAN
    Poultry farmer
    SEBASTOPOL Services for R.C. Hillman will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at White Plains Holiness Assembly with the Revs. Joseph Futral and Mark Copeland officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in Union with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Hillman, 70, of Conehatta, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include his wife, MaeDell Hillman; two sons, Ricky Hillman and David Hillman of Conehatta; three daughters, Pam Taylor of Sebastopol, Melissa Futral of Wetumpka, Ala., and Karen Richardson of Conehatta; five brothers, Hulon Hillman and Wayne Hillman of Conehatta, W.L. Hillman of Madden, Carleton Hillman of Bolivar, Mo., and Dewight Hillman of Tylertown; two sisters, Margaret Siler of Purlear, N.C., and Norma Bailey of Conehatta; and 10 grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Effie Hillman; a son and a daughter.
    Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    LYDIA MOORE ALEWINE
    Retired educator
    Services for Lydia Moore Alewine will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Bird officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
    Mrs. Alewine, 83, a resident of Silverleaf Manor, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital. She was a member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church and the Earnest Workers Circle. She graduated from Mississippi State College for Women and taught home economics at Center Hill School.
    Survivors include two sisters, Mary Palmer and her husband, Bernard, and Lois Kennedy, all of Meridian; nephews, Delane Stokes of Mobile, Ala., Charles Henry Stokes of Louisville and Henry Palmer of Meridian; nieces, Shirley Goldman of Meridian, Carolyn Kirk of Pensacola, Fla., and Rose Moore of Reno, Nev.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. "Buck" Alewine; a sister, Pansy Stokes; and a brother, Bruce Moore.
    The family requests memorials be made to Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church.
    Pallbearers will be David Palmer, Gil Palmer, Hap Palmer, Charles Stokes, Sam Goldman, Kirstopher Stokes, Kevin Stokes and Casey Kirk.
    Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
    SUDIE H. BARTEE
    Retired day care owner
    Services for Sudie H. Bartee will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Excel Williams officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
    Mrs. Bartee, 72, of Meridian, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include a son, Leon Hood of Meridian; a brother, Elevester Richardson Jr. of Meridian; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be Friday 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
