    OBITUARIES FOR TUESDAY, NOV. 20, 2001

    Survivors include his wife, Laurene Anderson of Jackson; a daughter, Betsy Allen of Philadelphia, a son, James Stuart of Meridian and their mother, Susan Stuart of Meridian; and four grandchildren.

    GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for John Wilburn Pruett Jr. will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Clovis Lewis and B.A. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Barrytown Cemetery.
    Mr. Pruett, 57, of Gilbertown, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include his wife, Rebeka Adams Pruett of Gilbertown; three daughters, Teresa Pruett of Gilbertown, Toni Watkins of Millry and Donna Jenkins of Butler; an uncle and several nephews; and four grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul R. Pruett.
    Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    JEAN ARTHUR CALLOWAY REW
    Services for Jean Arthur Calloway Rew will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Savannah Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Meridian, with the Rev. William J. Harper Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Enterprise Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Rew, 70, of Meridian, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, in Meridian. She was employed with the MSU Extension Service.
    Survivors include her mother, Thaymon Calloway of Muskegon Heights, Mich.; four children, Belinda Jean Rew Raines of Detroit, Mich., Charles Otis Rew Jr., Sabrina Juanita Wilson and her husband, Al, of Meridian, and Alvin Bernard Rew Sr. of Pitscataway, N.J.; two brothers, Benjamin F. Calloway Jr. and his wife, Shirley, of Cypress, Calif., and John Andrew Calloway and his wife, Judy, of Muskegon Heights, three sisters; Carolyn Sue Patterson and her husband, Oscar, of Muskegon Heights, Patricia Ann Noel and her husband, Donald, of Saginaw, Mich., and Gwendolyn Maria Nolan of Muskegon Heights; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rew Sr.
    Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    ANNIE LOUISE COATS
    Retired secretary at Citizens National Bank
    Services for Annie Louise Coats will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David McCubbin officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
    Miss Coats, 79, of Meridian, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the American Cancer Society, Lambda Club and the Daughters of the Confederacy.
    Survivors include several cousins, Myrtis Farmer, Florene Bakken, Bill Coats, Lois Stallings, Earl Duke, Ernest Vaughn, Cathy Duke, Lee Coats, Effie McGee, Anita McGee, Janet Patterson, Lois Akin, Jeri Curry, Marie Roberson, Tom Coats and David Coats.
    Pallbearers will be Bill Coats, Gene Coats, Larry Duke, Jimmy Duke, Keith Hales and Daniel Sims.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Graham "Tom" Coats, Larry Moore, Bubba Hampton, Archie McDonald Dr., Mancel Elkins, Fred Poitevant, Leslie Usuion and Sam Formet.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    HAZEL GILL GODFREY
    Graveside services for Hazel Gill Godfrey will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Joseph Davis officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Godfrey, 89, of Balsam Grove, N.C., formerly of Meridian, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2001, at Ivy Hill Health and Retirement Center in Brevard, N.C.
    She was born in Humbolt, Tenn., but spent most of her life in Meridian. She was the daughter of Morris Vernon and Flora lee Armstrong Gill.
    Survivors include one daughter, Hazel Langford of Balsam Grove; a son, James Myers Godfrey of Springdale, Ark.; a sister, Mary Alice Dement of Meridian; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Myers Godfrey.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to There is More Ministries Inc., Living Waters, Highway 215, Balsam Grove, N.C., 28708.
    GEORGE H. WILLSON
    CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. Services for George H. Willson were held Oct. 31 at Parrott &Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
    Mr. Willson, 83, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, in Campbellsville. He was an avid supporter of the Jimmie Rodgers Memorial Festival and acted as master of ceremonies under the name "Uncle George from Black Knat Kentucky."
    He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict having served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from the armed services in 1977, as a lieutenant colonel.
    Survivors include his wife, Mildred H. Willson of Campbellsville; a daughter, Barbara Dabney; a brother-in-law, James Skelton of Meridian, Miss.; two nephews, James Charles Skelton of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Michael S. Skelton of Meridian; and many other relatives and friends.

    Services for Jo Beth Hawkins will be held at a later date.
    Ms. Hawkins, 52, of Meridian, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, in her home.
    Survivors include her mother, Alice Joyce Hawkins of Lauderdale; a brother, Dr. Harold W. Hawkins and his wife, Irene, and their family of Mobile, Ala.; a stepson, Jade Anderson and his wife, Marlyn, of Fayetteville, N.C.; and four nephews.
