    OBITUARIES FOR MONDAY, OCT. 22, 2001

    Homemaker
    Services for Julia Wilkerson Reid will be held today at 3 p.m. at Pinckney Baptist Church with the Revs. T.C. Pinson and Warren Hedgepeth officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home of Union officiating.
    Mrs. Reid, 63, of Union, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2001, at Riley Hospital. She loved working with her flowers and also her music. She was a member of Pinckney Baptist Church.
    Survivors include two sons, John A. Reid of Shepherd, Texas and James William Reid Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va.; three daughters, Cynthia Darlene Daniels and Penny M. Weeks of Union and Edna I. McCullough of Conroe, Texas; 15 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; a brother, David Scott of Meridian; five sisters, Annette Ward of Meridian, Estelle Harris of Philadelphia, Ruby Mathia of Wyndotte, Okla., Mildred Saunders of Virginia Beach, Va., and Becky Mayhugh of Doniphan, Mo.
    Visitation is 30 minutes prior to the church service.

    Services for Glen D. Vaughn will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Snell Church of God with the Revs. James Fleming and Bernice Fleming officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Vaughn, 63, of Meridian, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Snell Church of God.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Florence Vaughn and a brother, Sammy Vaughn.
    Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Vaughn of Meridian; his children, Melissa Skelton and her husband, Maxwell of Butler, Ala., and Dwight Vaughn and his wife, Nicki, of Meridian; a grandson, Preston Vaughn of Meridian; a brother, Charles Vaughn and his wife, Earlene of Meridian; three sisters, Frances Fleming and her husband, Joe, of Meridian, Faye George and her husband, John of Pascagoula and Linda Gibson of New Albany; and several nieces and nephews.
    Pallbearers will be Paul Mosley, Roger Robinson, Randy Shirley, Kenneth Bush, Parker Shannon and Donald Goodman.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
    SARAH WALKER DAY
    Music teacher
    Graveside services for Sarah Walker Day will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Jimmy Sanders and Hugh Poole officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Baptist Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Day, 86, of Meridian, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at her home. A graduate of Mississippi Southern College with a music degree, she was an accomplished pianist and organist, she was a music teacher and an active member of the Matinee Music Club. She was a member of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church. She served as an officer in the U.S. Navy serving in World War II
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern O. Day and her parents, G.E. "Micker" and Nora "Mig" Walker.
    Survivors include two brothers, George Walker of Mentone, Ala., and Tommie Walker of Jackson; several nieces and nephews; and a devoted companion, Dorothy McCory.
    The family requests memorials be made to New Hope Baptist Church.
    Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
    RAYNARD BELL
    SEBASTOPOL Services for Raynard Bell will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church with the Rev. Doby Henry officiating. Burial will be in Bogue Chitto Community Cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Bell, 45, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was employed with the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
    Survivors include his mother, Alline Dixon of Philadelphia; three sisters, Lavinie Vaughn and Rosie Dixon, both of Philadelphia and Karen Smith of Conehatta; three brothers, Donald Bell, Cecil Ray Dixon and Richard Keith Dixon, all of Philadelphia; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

    Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Tommy Johnson, 40, of Chunky, who died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001.

    Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Sammie Walter Robertson, 32, of Meridian, who died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001.
    DANIEL E. MILTIMORE
    Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Daniel E. Miltimore, 36, of Meridian, who died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, at his home.
    CLELL WILLIAMS
    UNION Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Clell Williams of Newton County, who died today at his home.
