PHILADELPHIA Services for Mark Thrash will be held today at 11 a.m. at John E. Stephens Chapel with the Revs. Jim Daniel and Stacy Madison officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
Mr. Thrash, 41, of Philadelphia, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, in his home.
Survivors include his mother, Jo Beth Tolbert of Philadelphia; three daughters, Tasha Jo Thrash, Shea Thrash and Kandiss Dooley, a son, Adam David Thrash, all of Union; five sisters, Leigh Ann Fortenberry and Robin Fortenberry, both of Philadelphia, JoJo Thrash of Madison, Lisa Pilgrim of Greenwood and Julie Thrash of Louisiana; two brothers, Scott Thrash of Philadelphia and Todd Thrash of Noxapater; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy D. Thrash.
OTIS RHODES

NEWTON Graveside services for Otis Rhodes will be held today at 2 p.m. at Newton County Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Clifton Thorton officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rhodes, 75, of Newton, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, in his home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in World War II. He was employed with the Newton Company for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Rhodes of Newton; a son, Danny Rhodes of Winona; a daughter, Martha Knight of Meridian; two sisters, Ollie Herrington of Shubuta and Frances Eldridge of Union; a brother, Alvin Rhodes of Bay Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Rhodes.
RUTH THRASH WHITECOTTON

PHILADELPHIA Services for Ruth Thrash Whitecotton will be held Friday at 4 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. Steve Jackson and Dennis Duvall officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
Mrs. Whitecotton, 79, of Jackson, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. She was a retired bookkeeper with Ryan Supply in Jackson.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Wade of Pearl; five sisters, Dean Ward and Polly Akins, both of Philadelphia, Kathy Moore of Gulfport, Claudia Beaman of Gretna, Neb., and Peggy Lofton of Hattiesburg; and her stepmother, Gladys Thrash Wilson of Philadelphia.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 pm. at Baldwin Lee Funeral Home in Pearl and Friday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the McClain-Hays Funeral Service.
NELL SMITH
Services for Nell Smith will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Etheridge officiating. Burial will be in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith, 92, of Meridian, died Sunday Oct. 14, 2001, in Meridian.
Survivors include a son, Raymond Smith of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Nita McCary, Keith Pace, Michelle Miles, Ray Smith Jr., Margie Hartnell and Dave Smith; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Creel, Randy McCary, Ricky McCary, Tom Miles, Justin McCary and Roscoe McCary.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
CLYDE W. THOMPSON

PHILADELPHIA Services for Clyde W. Thompson will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. Jimmie Gunn and Kim Poe officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson, 71, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, at Neshoba County General Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Ann Foley of Emory, Texas, Clyde Dean Powell of Kosciusko and Judith Adams of Philadelphia; two sisters, Sylvia Ann Huffman and Norma Lynn Savell and a brother, James Edker Thompson, all of Philadelphia; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
