OBITUARIES FOR MONDAY, OCT. 15, 2001

PEGGIE NELL RISEN

WAYNESBORO Services for Peggie Nell Risen will be held today at 11 a.m. at Buckatunna Baptist Church with the Revs. Ricky Revette and Doug Moore officiating. Burial will be in Buckatunna Cemetery. Freeman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Risen, 64, of Buckatunna, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, in her home.
Survivors include five sons, Charles Allen Risen of Buckatunna, Larry Davenport of Waynesboro, Robert Guy Davenport, Joe Davenport and Greg Davenport, all of Meridian; a daughter, Pamela Sue Swisher of Beaver Falls, Penn.; three brothers, Robert Sistrunk, Elvin Sistrunk and Jimmy Sistrunk, all of Walnut Grove; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glover Sistrunk and Essie Brown.
NEAL MCCRORY
Retired inspector for Wells Lamont in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA Services for Neal McCrory will be held today at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. Ricky Wicher and Norman Nash officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery.
Mrs. McCrory, 85, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, in her home.
Survivors include her husband, Edd McCrory, three grandchildren, Lynn Stepp, Becky Hall and Joe Mike Stepp, all of Philadelphia; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mazola Elizabeth Stepp.
LAKEN SHANTELL CHARLIE
SEBASTOPOL Services for Laken Shantell Charlie will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Infant Charlie, 1-month-old, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at the University Medical Center.
Survivors include her father, Erik Thompson, her mother, Tasha Charlie, her maternal grandparents, Harlan Bell and Melinda Bell, her paternal grandparents, Mary K. Thompson and John Willis and her great-grandmother, Necie King, all of Philadelphia; and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held at the family home.
CLARENCE A. LEE
Retired from Smith's Bakery
Services for Clarence A. Lee will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Boles officiating. Burial will be in Forest lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Lee, 90, of Marion, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at Meridian Heart Services.
Survivors include three sons, Clarence E. Lee and his wife, Carol, of Little Rock, Hal A. Lee and his wife, Ouida, of Meridian, and Terry W. Lee and his wife, Nita, of Collinsville; two daughters, Carolyn Janell Betterton and her husband, Jerry, of Marion and Linda Mae Brew and her husband, Lynn, of North Dakota; 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie A. Lee.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
PAULINE MCLEMORE

Services for Pauline McLemore will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church with the Revs. Nick Holden, Edsel Wells and Barry Skelton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McLemore, 71, of Meridian, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church, the Joy Sunday School Class and the ladies prayer group.
Survivors include her husband, Carol McLemore of Meridian; two sons, Danny Davis and his wife, Faye, of Meridian and DeWayne Davis and his wife, Marie, of Philadelphia; two daughters, Jane Coleman and her husband, Mike, of Natchez and Vicki Gatlin and her husband, Steve, of Meridian; grandchildren, Stephanie Wesberry, Anit Jones, Autumn Gatlin, Abby Gatlin, Wendy Windham, Mandy Davis, Alana Davis and Allen Davis; great-grandchildren, Macy Jones and Keaton Jones; five sisters, Doris and Wendell Spears and Jennie Smith, all of Orange Park, Fla., Bobbie Faye Thrash of Meridian, Martha and Ron Hopkins of Dallas and Linda Rucker of Philadelphia; and two brothers, Mason and Edsel Thrasher, both of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Iva Dean Clark; and a brother, Jerome Clark.
Pallbearers will be the deacons of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church, Carl Wiggins, Wayne, Pickard, Jim Piggott, Ralph Aycock, Steve Landrum and Glen Beasely.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Nell Smith, 92, of Toomsuba, who died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, at Riley Hospital.
