Ballard, Pickard

GATLINBURG, Tenn. Stefanie Kay Pickard and Christopher Ted Ballard, both of Meridian, Miss., were married Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Chapel on the Creek.
Parents of the couple are Steve Pickard and Debbie Pickard, both of Meridian, and Ted Ballard and Janice Ballard, both of Quitman.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Bug Pickard and Mrs. Willard Stewart, all of Meridian, and the late Ernest Stewart and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stewart Jr.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Ted Ballard and Mr. and Mrs. Preston Cooper.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Dana Hopkins, sister of the bride, soloist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She wore a spaghetti strap gown featuring a full tulle skirt. The bodice was accented with beaded pearls and sequins; and buttons extended down the back of the dress.
Maid of honor was Renae Pickard, sister of the bride, of Meridian.
The father of the groom was best man.
A reception was held Friday, May 18th at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Mt. Horeb Church.
Assisting at the reception were Tiffany Rawson, Rebecca Rawson, Dana Hopkins, Leslie Aycock and Renae Pickard.
After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, the couple resides in Meridian.
