Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Morrison
Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Morrison celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 2, 2001, with a party at Lake Wanita. The occasion was hosted by their children, Charles Morrison, Michael Morrison and Lee Hamilton. The couple were married June 3, 1951, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Dr. Benjamin and Edith Boone
Dr. Benjamin and Edith Marks Boone celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, June 2, 2001, with their children, Kathy Pickard, Cindy Floyd, David Boone, John Boone and their spouses. The Boones have six grandchildren. They were married June 2, 1951, at First Baptist Church in Prichard, Ala.

Edwin and Edna Shields
Edna Mae New and Edwin William Shields were
married June 10, 1951, at Pine Springs Methodist Church. The couple served as Methodist missionaries to Asia for more than 35 years, living in Burma, Sarawak and Nepal. The Shields will celebrate their anniversary by renewing their vows Sunday, June 10, 2001, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. in the Activities Center of Central United Methodist Church. A reception will follow. The couple requests no gifts.
64th anniversary
Curtis and Daisy Fisher
Curtis and Daisy Fisher of Quitman recently
celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary with their family. They have three children, Charles Fisher of Colorado Springs, Colo., Billy Fisher of Whynot and Loretta Brown of Quitman; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. At the ages of 85 and 81, respectively, they both still enjoy gardening both vegetables and flowers. They attend Living Word Church in Quitman.
