THS volleyball receives grant

The Tharptown volleyball program is one of seven programs to be awarded the Wilson Volleyball Grant for 2017.

Each school chosen received ten brand new volleyballs and a volleyball cart from the Wilson sports company.  The grants were presented in conjunction with 2017 Alabama High School Athletic Association volleyball state championships held in Birmingham last week.

“We are proud to receive this grant,” said Tharptown coach Tracey Fretwell. “We always have to beg and scrape for funds, as most small schools do. This grant will be very helpful to our program and our players.”
