Tigers win spring football game

The Red Bay Tigers capped off a successful spring practice session with a win. The Tigers beat Tishomingo County 21-7 in the spring game.
Coach Michael Jackson is looking at some new faces at new positions at Red Bay but has a lot of experience returning as well.
“We had seven guys on both sides of the ball playing in their first varsity football game,” said Jackson. “We had great effort and played hard. We have a small senior class, but they’ve played a lot of football, so we will have some quality experience and some quality leadership.”
The Tigers rushed for 250 yards in their 21-7 win over Tishomingo County. Running back Aaron Lewey accounted for 140 of those yards.
The Tigers got scores on a 20-yard pass from Colby Bragwell to Max Bullen. Bullen also scored on a 50-yard run from scrimmage.
“Our defense played sound football,” said Jackson. “We didn’t give up any big plays, and we forced four turnovers. Bragwell had an interception and two fumble recoveries, and Cam McKinney had a fumble recovery.”
Red Bay will open up the 2017 season against Colbert Heights.
