THS off to Hackleburg
THARPTOWN — The Wildcats road to their first playoff berth in school history will be a tough one, especially the next two weeks.
Tharptown (1-4, 1-2) hits the road this week to play eighth-ranked Hackleburg (4-1, 2-1) before returning home next week to host No. 7 R.A. Hubbard.
The Tharptown offense, which seems to have found its spark, is averaging 19.2 points per game after scoring a total of 12 points in the first two weeks of the season. The Wildcats will face a tough defense from Hackleburg, which is giving up 10.6 points per game.
The Tharptown defense will have its hands full trying to contain a Panther offense averaging 32.6 points per game. The Wildcats are allowing 38.2 points per game.
