Helen Champion

Helen Champion, 76, of Phil Campbell, died Thursday, April 22, 2010. She was a member of Phil Campbell First Baptist Church and The Joy Class.

Visitation with the family will be held Saturday,

April 24, 2010 at Akins Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Sunday, April 25, 2010 with Bro. Wayne Boyles officiating. She will be laid to rest in East Franklin Cemetery.

She is survived by her children, Stanley Champion and wife, Karen; Wanda Lemay and husband, Curtis; Tina Stokes and husband, Perry; Tony Champion and wife, Kelly; and Kyle Champion and wife, Amanda; siblings, Mildred Saint and husband, Jay; Marvolene Fleming and husband, Hershel; Billy Pierce and wife, DewAnn; and Donald Pierce and wife, Anna; grandchildren, Angie Garrison, and husband, Milton; Brad Champion, and wife, Tabatha; Beth Gann and husband, Robbie; Jared Winsted, Leslie Herndon and husband, Kenny; Ryan Champion, Anna Lemay, and Jacob Paul Champion; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Brantley Gann and Sadie Champion; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Arvil Champion; parents, Homer and Katie Pierce and sister, Dorothy Dolan
