Eurdene Prince

Eurdene Prince, age 71, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2006.
Sargent First Class Prince was retired from the military, having served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a native of Decatur and a member of Russellville Church of God. He passed away with cancer due to a service-related incident. All three of his sons followed in their father's footsteps by serving in the military. Mr. Prince was preceded in death by his parents, Labron and Floyed Prince; several brothers and sisters; and two sons, Don Prince and Ricky Prince.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2006, in Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. George Sansbury officiating. Interment was in Jonesboro Cemetery.
Mr. Prince is survived by his wife of 48 years, Geraldine Prince; two sons, Mike Prince and wife Hollie, of Russellville, and Jeff Prince of Russellville; two sisters, Madgie Randolph of Sheffield and Inez King of Medina, Ohio; two brothers, Hoyt Prince of Russellville and Edward Prince of Russellville; and seven grandchildren, Don Prince II, Tosha Prince, Richey Prince, Tiffany Prince, Brian Prince, Ashley Prince and Alex Prince.
The family would like to add a special thanks to Hospice of the Tennessee Valley, Wanda, Teresa, Chip and Dr. Ridgeway. They would also like to thank Bro. Sansbury and Russellville Church of God, and Bro. Frank Whitaker.
Mr. Prince was loved dearly by his family. Their loss is Heaven's gain. He was very proud to serve his country, and his family was proud of him.
Akins Funeral Home assisted the family.
Walter Dudley Kilpatrick II

Walter Dudley "Wally" Kilpatrick II, age 42, of Tuscumbia, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2006, at Russellville Hospital.
Mr. Kilpatrick was a lifetime resident of Franklin County and a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Russellville. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Dudley Kilpatrick.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2006, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with T.A. Duke officiating. Interment was in Gravel Hill Cemetery in the Mt. Star Community.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Kilpatrick, Cary Hitt, Jody Hitt, Josh Rollins, Michael D. Hall and Bryan Hall.
Mr. Kilpatrick is survived by his father, Walter Dudley Kilpatrick of Tuscumbia, and his step-mother, Autry Kilpatrick; his mother, Betty Jo Hitt Kilpatrick of Russellville; two sisters, Gail Rollins and husband David, of Hodges, and Kathy Hall and husband Duane, of Russellville; and several nieces and nephews.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
