Garden Club hosts Prayer Service at county courthouse

The Cultura Garden Club held their annual "Every Light, A Prayer for Peace" Wednesday afternoon on the steps of the Franklin County courthouse.
Rev. Mark Woodruff gave a message of peace for the holiday season during the short service.
Boy Scouts Troop No. 39, Cub Scout Pack No. 39, Girl Scout Troop No. 117 and Brownie Troop No. 227 posted their colors at the beginning of the service and then led the group in saying the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Russellville High School, Russellville Middle School and Russellville Elementary School choral groups also performed at the event, which drew a large crowd.
The Prayer for Peace is an annual event of the Cultura Garden Club.
