Martin, Northam

Eddie and Joan Martin of Petal announce the engagement of their daughter, Brooke Michelle, to John Wesley Northam, son of Mike and Debbie Hathorn of Collinsville, and Joe and Brenda Northam of Petal.
The wedding will be Saturday, March 8, 2003, at 3 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.
Miss Martin is the granddaughter of Mavis Martin of Petal and the late Leland Martin, and Ruby and Jack Lucas of Hattiesburg.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Petal High and will receive her bachelor's degree in psychology in May from the University of Southern Mississippi.
While at USM, she has been a member of Chi Omega sorority. She is employed by Pine Grove Mental Health Facility.
Mr. Northam is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Hagwood and Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Northam Sr., all of Meridian ,and Mr. and Mrs. Jerrell Ladd of Union.
His great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wingo and Lois Northam, all of Meridian ,and the late Thomas Northam.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Petal High School and received an associate's degree in political science from Jones County Junior College. He also attended the University of Southern Mississippi.
Mr. Northam is employed by the U.S. Aviation Corporation.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
