WAYNESBORO Services for Ethel Tingle Mason will be held today at 2 p.m. at Freeman Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Chad Sewell and Dr. John Stodghill officiating. Burial will be in Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Mason, 95, of Waynesboro, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro.
Survivors include her sons, Daniel Grady Mason and his wife, Bobbie, of Buckatunna, W. Jay Mason and his wife, Carolyn, of Ellisville; a daughter, Margaret Duvall of Waynesboro; a daughter-in-law, Mary Louise Mason of Mobile, Ala.; 11 grandchildren, Kathy Copeland, Mary Ann Drinkard and Perry Mason, all of Mobile, Ala., Lesia Stewart of Jacksonville, Fla., Jennifer Wilkeson of Athens, Ga., Karen Holloway of Soso, Jay Speed Mason of Laurel, Terri Kelly of Ellisville, Ted Duvall of Waynesboro, Nancy Johnson of Meridian, and Amy Culwell of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; 23 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. P. Mason Sr.; sons, C.P. Mason Jr. and Julian "J.C." Mason; parents, Ben Tingle and Mary Howard Tingle; three brothers, two sisters and three grandchildren.
Ida Louise Boykin Sykes
QUITMAN Services for Ida Louise Boykin Sykes will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lannis May officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Quitman.
Mrs. Sykes, 92, of Quitman, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003.
Survivors include one son, Grady Sykes of Newton; four daughters, Catherine Sciple of Quitman, Grace Lada of Panama City, Fla., Mary Ann Stanley of Laurel and Sandra Hamrick of Stonewall; 16 grandchildren, Bill Dillard, Steve Dillard, Tom Smith, Lisa Gunter, Gwen Johnson, Janet Dickens, Susan Ducale, Angie Raines, Holly Rhodes, Stacey Sykes, Stephan Sykes, Leigh Whitten, Kimberly Stanley, Dawn Stanley, Jay Hamrick and Jonathan Hamrick; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ernestine May of Union and Mable Lucas of Quitman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is today beginning at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Joseph Randall Mazingo
John E. Smith and Company of Meridian employee
GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Joseph Randall Mazingo will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Mosley Cemetery.
Mr. Mazingo, 43, of Enterprise, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, in Vance.
Survivors include his father, Bobby Ellis Mazingo of Mobile; his wife, Nadine Mazingo of Enterprise, Miss. ; daughters, Amanda Hale and her husband, Matt, Jamie Cross and Skye Cross, all of Enterprise; a brother, Bobby Ellis Mazingo Jr. of Citronelle; a sister, Darlene Barnett of Stonewall, Miss.; two nieces and one nephew.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Jewell Hall Mazingo.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Sheron Marie Hales

QUITMAN Services for Sheron Marie Hales will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rolling Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Soesbe officiating. Burial will be in Chancellor Cemetery in Clarke County.
Mrs. Hales, 42, of Quitman, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, in her home.
Survivors include her husband, Ted Hales Sr.; sons, Jeff Reid, Ted Hales Jr., and Jonathon Hales, all of Quitman and Eddie Welborn of Eucutta; daughters, Latisha Johnson of Hattiesburg, Janice Sheppard of Laurel and Sarah Massey of Rome, Ga.; parents, James and Dena Fay Allen of Laurel; five brothers, Billy Pugh and Talmedge Pugh Jr, both of Quitman, James Pugh of Meridian, Ricky Pugh of Bay Springs and David Jeffcoat of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; sisters, Teresa Pugh and Donna Pugh, both of Bay Springs, Becky Rogers of Houston, Texas and Barbara Thead of Ovette; grandmother, Katie M. and James Wood of Laurel and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.- 9 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at church.
Maxine Dowden
RCA Records production worker
UNION Services for Maxine Dowden will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union with the Rev. H.L. Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Meridian.
Ms. Dowden, 77, of Meridian, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, in BeeBee, Ark. She was employed with RCA Records as a production worker.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for John C. Spence, 70, of Decatur, who died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
