Lucas, Raines

Brandi Raines of Toomsuba and Ryan Lucas of Meridian were married Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at Buccatunna Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Meadows officiating.
Parents of the couple are Patricia and Charles Lucas of Meridian, and Ronnie and Betty Raines of Toomsuba.
Grandparents of the bride are Neil Raines of Meridian and the late Herman Raines; Ludie Chandler of Enterprise and the late Theodore Chandler.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Mosley of Meridian, and Evie Lou Lucas and the late Clifford Lucas.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Lori McMullen, pianist and vocalist; and Stacey McMullen, vocalist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an A-line gown with lace accent straps and a fully beaded bodice that swept into a train that was accented with lace and pearls. Her beaded and rhinestone headpiece anchored a veil that was accented with pearls.
Heather Nance of Meridian served as maid of honor. Other attendants were Lindsey Raines and Morgan Johnson, both of Meridian.
Jade Jay of Meridian and Megon Simpson of Enterprise were flower girls.
Don Lucas served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Scottie Chandler, Kevin Lott, Dustin Hoffer and Justin McCary.
Tyler Simpson of Enterprise was ring bearer.
Rice bag and program attendants were Jessica Rose, Abby Embrey and Ashley Embrey.
A reception was held at the church following the ceremony.
Assisting at the wedding were Patricia Lucas, Faye Mosley, Suzanne Lucas, Sissy Simpson, Brooke Culpepper, and Pam Allen-Chandler.
After a honeymoon in Gulf Shores, Ala., the couple resides in Toomsuba and Chicago.
