Burton, Sterling

Sam and Pearlie Burton of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Veronica Burton to Wendol Dailey Sterling II, son of the late Wendol Dailey Sterling I and Patricia Hill Sterling of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at 3 p.m. at East Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
Miss Burton is the granddaughter of the late Maggie Odom of DeKalb, Elias Burton of DeKalb and the late Anna Burton.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Alabama at Huntsville, Ala.
Miss Burton is a registered nurse at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala.
Mr. Sterling is the grandson of the late the Rev. E.M. Hill and Marie B. Hill, and the late John Sterling and Mary Sterling of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a bachelor's degree in business management from Alabama A &M University.
While at A &M, he was a member of the bulldog football team.
Mr. Sterling is employed as a manager at Walgreens in Birmingham.
A reception will be held at Howard Johnson following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
