Phil Campbell hosts Franklin County Junior High Tournament this week

Phil Campbell High School will host the junior high division of the Franklin County Tournament Friday and Saturday. The varsity division will be at Belgreen High School in mid-January.

The teams in this division include the B-Junior boys and girls – this is the seventh/eighth-grade teams – as well as the A-Junior girls, which consists of seventh, eighth and ninthgraders.

There will be five divisions in the tournament in January: AJunior boys, JV girls, B-Varsity boys, varsity girls and varsity boys.

Here is the schedule for this weekend’s tournament at Phil Campbell:

DEC. 16

  • 2 p.m. – B Junior Girls: Belgreen versus Red Bay
  • 3:15 p.m. – B Junior Boys: Red Bay versus Vina
  • 4:30 p.m. – B Junior Boys: Belgreen versus Tharptown
  • 5:45 p.m. – A Junior Girls: Phil Campbell versus Tharptown
  • 7 p.m. – B Junior Boys: Phil Campbell versus Red Bay or Vina

DEC. 17

  • 3:30 p.m. – B Junior Girls: Championship – Vina versus Belgreen or Red Bay
  • 5 p.m. – B Junior Boys: Championship
  • 6:30 p.m. – A Junior Girls: Championship – East Franklin versus Phil Campbell or Tharptown
