Bank Independent clinches big recognitions

Forbes Best-In-State Banks 2022 List

Bank Independent has been names to Forbes’ list of Best-In-State Banks 2022. This is the third consecutive year Bank Independent has appeared on the list.

This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.

The awards list was announced June 21 and can be viewed on the Forbes website.

“As we strive to fulfill our vision of being the bank of choice in our communities, the Forbes Best-In-State Banks honor is very encouraging since it directly reflects the voice of our customers,” said Rick Wardlaw, CEO of Bank Independent. “We are proud of the trust our customers place in us to be their financial services provider.”

Forbes and Statista identified Best-In-State Banks 2022 based on an independent survey of approximately 26,000 U.S. consumers who were asked to rate banks at which they have or previously have had checking accounts. Participants made recommendations regarding overall satisfaction and also assessed banks in the following areas: trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services, customer service and financial advice.

Most Loved Workplace

Bank Independent has become certified as a Most Loved Workplace, backed by Best Practice Institute research and analysis.

According to the bank, Most Loved Workplace validation provides the most comprehensive look at workplace sentiment for organizations today.

“This year we celebrate the 75th anniversary of our founding, and from the beginning, care for our team members has been central to who we are and what we are about as an organization,” said Penny Camp, Chief People Officer at Bank Independent. “As we have grown in recent years, we have become even more intentional about guarding our values and enhancing the culture established by our founders and leaders.

“As we look to the next 75 years, we will continue to keep our team members at the heart of everything we do to create a workplace that team members enjoy and where they feel valued.”

Bank Independent has been certified as a Most Loved Workplace because of its commitment to providing a positive culture and engaging environment for employees.

It all centers on the vision and mission of the bank: to be the bank of choice in the communities served and to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

Most Loved Workplaces certify companies where employees are the happiest and most satisfied at work.

Bank Independent became certified as a Most Loved Workplace based on its scores on the Love of Workplace Index, which surveyed employees on various elements of employee satisfaction and sentiment, including the level of respect, collaboration, support and sense of belonging.
