Donate blood, help save lives
A number of blood drives are coming up in Franklin County, providing citizens the chance to give the gift of life.
Three chances to give blood will be available this week.
LifeSouth will be having a blood drive Oct. 11 at Phil Campbell High School, 65 School Street, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. A second opportunity will be offered by the American Red Cross Oct. 12 at Russellville Fire Department, 1100 South Jackson Ave., Russellville, from 1-6 p.m.
In additional opportunities from LifeSouth, a blood drive will be held Oct. 13 in Red Bay. This drive will be held from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Big Star, 406 4th Street SW.
LifeSouth blood drives will also be held in Russellville on two upcoming dates: at Russellville Public Library, 110 Lawrence Street East, in conjunction with the annual Zombie Walk Oct. 21, and then again at Russellville Hospital, 15155 Highway 43 Oct 25. Each of these two blood drives will continue from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
