Ezell Petty

Ezell Petty, 83, passed away July 16 at his residence.  He was born in Mississippi to William and Beatrice McDonald Petty.  He was a member of Meadowood Baptist Church in Amory, MS.

Services will be July 18 at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. W.D. Humphres and Bro. Tim Thorn officiating.  Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.

 

Survivors include his wife of 54 years-Lethia “Bobbie” Petty of Golden; two children-Rita McCain and husband, Richard and Chris Petty and wife, Tonya; four grandchildren-Lance and Drew McCain and Will and Gabriele Petty; one great-grandson-Logan Tyler McCain; and one brother-Martell Petty.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers and sisters-Truman, Noonan, Hurshel, Durel, Tula, Mae and Opal.

Pallbearers will be Lance McCain, Drew McCain, Will Petty, Billy Petty, Steve Stanphill and Dustin Lucas.

 

Visitation was July 17, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
