The First Methodist Church of Russellville hosted the Northwest Shoals Community College Chorale performance May 1.

The May 1 performance marked the end of the Spring Concert tour, which featured religious music in churches around the area, as well as New Orleans in the French Quarter.

The spring show is one of two shows NW-SCC puts on each year – the other being the Christmas Extravaganza.

“We picked churches we play at because of the good acoustics; also, First Methodist has an organ,” said director Jeff McAlister.

The performance featured “Magnificat,” “Bogoroditse Devo,” “Candle on the Water,” “The Morning Trumpet,” “Moses,” “Go Where I Send Thee” and “My Shepherd Will Supply My Need.”
