Taking on a new challenge

New revenue commissioner Veronica Stancil was sworn in Sunday for her new role, which goes into effect today. “I’m very excited to take my new position and work for the people of Franklin County,” Stancil said. “I’ll just do the best of my ability to perform my duties and to work well with the citizens … I’ll be willing to help anyone anyway I can.” Stancil said she started with the county in the revenue office in 1989 before moving to the circuit clerk’s office in 1996. “I’ve made a full circle,” Stancil said. “I have a great staff, and I’m looking forward to working with them.”
