BTCPA announces productions for 2015-2016
The cast of Father of the Bride wrapped up the most recent BTCPA season in April.
The Bay Tree Council for the Performing Arts in Red Bay announces its 2015-2016 season. The first production of the season will be Hallelujah Girls, by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, Jamie Wooten, Nov. 12-15. Next will be Dearly Beloved, by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, Jamie Wooten, Feb. 11-15, 2016, and the final production will be Arsenic and Old Lace, by Joseph Kesselring, April 28 through May 1, 2016. All productions will be held at Community Spirit Bank’s Weatherford Centre in Red Bay.
Auditions for Hallelujah Girls will be announced soon. Anyone interested in being a sponsor, member or patron for BTCPA should contact any board member or visit the Facebook page or website for more information.
For more information for groups, contact Beth Hammock, 256-356-9286. The plays are perfect for churches, senior citizens and all other groups, with a meal provided for some nights.
New board members and officers for the new season are Scotty Kennedy, chairman; Mark Richardson, vice chairman; Tina Smith, treasurer; Emily Patterson, secretary; and board members Carol Rogers, Daphne Murrell, Jim Lichtenthaler, Shirley Watson, Linda Massey, Nathan Strickland, Jerry Self, Judy Malone, Darlene Dotson, Georgia Jeffreys and Dustin Edmondson.
