Delorius Jeanell Oliver, 83, of Phil Campbell, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at her residence.

Mrs. Oliver was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Phil Campbell Church of Christ.

The funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at 1 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Franklin Memory Gardens. Officiating will be Shawn Wallace. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 12 noon until 1 p.m.

Survivors include husband, William Haston Oliver; son, Randall Haston Oliver and wife, Sandra; brother, Dr. James M. Parrish; granddaughters, Andrea Akers and husband, Larry, Amanda Smith and husband, Jon, and Lynlie Cottrell and husband, Dan; great-grandchildren, Summer, Noah and Laurie Anne Akers, Eli and Paxton Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Idella Parrish; brothers, F.N. Parrish, Jr., and Charles Parrish; sister, Mildred Jackson.

Like the virtuous woman of Proverbs – Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness. She watches over the ways of her household.  Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her husband also, and he praises her. “Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all.”
