The Russellville High School yearbook staff has been recognized for their dedication, efforts and accomplishments on the 2009 “Tiger Track” edition of their annual yearbook by Taylor Publishing.
Taylor Publishing commemorated the staff by issuing an Honorable Mention for RHS in the company’s “Yearbook Yearbook” edition that honors high school staffs throughout the country.
Yearbooks published by Taylor for the 2009 school year were evaluated in one or more of the following areas: cover design, theme development, layout design, photo content and secondary packaging. Taylor Publishing only names the top 15 percent of yearbook staffs with Honorable Mention Recognition.
RHS yearbook advisor Susie Malone said Brooke Terry, editor-in-chief for the 2009 “Tiger Track” yearbook, and her staff did an outstanding job with last year’s annual and she hopes this year’s Co-editor-in-chiefs, Emma McDowell and Kayla Bailey, will continue the excellence.
In 2004, the RHS yearbook staff had their yearbook to be featured “Yearbook Yearbook,” which was a high honor. The RHS yearbook staff has received the Honorable Mention Certificate of Recognition for the past five years and hopes to keep the streak alive.
McDowell, who has been on the RHS yearbook staff for four years straight, said that will be something on her mind as she starts work on the upcoming edition.
This year staff will have deadlines coming up in mid April. The new edition of the RHS yearbook should be available in August or September.
Malone is in her 27th year as yearbook staff advisor and says she enjoys watching the creativeness of students come together alive in the publishing of their yearbook.
