Russellville scored early and often Monday against Belgreen as the Lady Golden Tigers cruised to a 13-1 victory to improve to 3-3 overall.
Casey Bolton and Brittany Mitchell scored a pair of runs in the first inning to put Russellville ahead 2-0.
The Lady Golden Tigers cashed in on several Belgreen mistakes in the second to score an additional five runs. Olivia Jones and Mali Parrish each singled for Russellville while Hollie Hillman doubled for the Lady Golden Tigers' only hits of the inning.
Belgreen's Loren McVicker struggled on the mound and issued three walks during the second inning and allowed Russellville runners to advance on several pass balls and wild pitches.
Erica Smith, hitting in the seventh slot, was the first Lady Bulldog to reach base when a pitch struck her in the knee. She advanced to second on a sacrifice, but could not get any farther.
Russellville put together its biggest inning in the third by sending 10 batters to the plate and scoring six runs.
Belgreen was finally able to get on the scoreboard in the fourth when Katy Britton led off the inning with a double and was awarded third base on an interference call. Amber Smith followed with a single to left to score Britton.
Smith reached second as McVicker reached first on an error. Both players moved up one base, but Russellville ended the Lady Bulldog's rally before either runner could score.
Mitchell scored three runs for Russellville while Bolton, Parrish, Sydney McDuffa and Heather Cole scored two runs each. Hillman and Breannia Malone scored one run each.
With the loss the Lady Bulldogs fall to 4-2 on the season.
