Wayne Wiley Craft

Wayne Wiley Craft, 73, of Killen, Ala., Passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Craft was born on Feb. 7, 1936 in Hodges, Ala. He served as a police officer for 28 years. He was also a Mason and member at Grace Life Church of the Shoals. Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 5 from 11a.m. till 1p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay, Ala. Funeral services will follow visitation. Brother Jeff Noblit will officiate the service. A burial service will follow at Old Line Cemetery in Hodges, Ala. Mr. Craft was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy. He is survived by his two sons, Brad Craft and wife, Julie, of Decatur, Brian Craft and wife, Becki, of Garden City, Michigan; four grandchildren, Kelli Craft of Michigan, Nikki Wall and husband, Robbie, of Birmingham, Brandon Craft of Michigan and Steven Craft of Decatur; one sister, Imogene Lawler of Hodges. Pallbearers for the service are Brad Craft, Brian Craft, Steven Craft, Brandon Craft, Dwight Lawler and Dale Lawler. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Tennessee Valley or Grace Life Church of the Shoals.

Evelyn Elizabeth Sutherland, 80, of Haleyville, Ala., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009 at Haleyville Health Care in Haleyville, Ala. She was a member of Botush Freewill Baptist Church. Services are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 4, 2009 at 2p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, Ala.. Ministers Ronald Watson and Steven Howard will officiate the services. Mrs. Sutherland was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Sutherland; parents, Thomas and Annie Akers; brothers, J.B., Tom, Elbert and Clarence Akers; sister, Vera Simmons. She is survived by her children; Carol Baker and husband, Hershel, Pat Garrett, Keith Gabriel, Tommy Sutherland, Penny Farris and husband, Frazier; brothers, Ronald Ayers and Ray Akers; sister, Faye Holcomb; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Burial services will take place at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville, Ala
