Dewey Denford Davis, 67 of Russellville, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Russellville Hospital.
Visitation was Monday, July 13 at Spry Memorial Chapel from 6:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m. The funeral was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 14 with Bro. Sherman Kimbrough officiating. Interment will be in Dempsey Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Reva Ann Davis; and his father, Dewey Herbert Davis.
He is survived by his sons, Vaughn Davis, Michael Davis and John Davis, all of Spruce Pine; mother, Mary Katherine Davis; 5 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mark L. Landers, 44 of Anchorage, Alaska, died Monday, May 8, 2009.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Russellville, with a celebration of life to follow at the Best Western Hotels and Suites.
Mark was born on December 26, 1964, to Marlin and Estelle Landers in Sheffield. He had been employed by Federal Express for 19 years.
He is survived by his two sons, Cody D. and Amado Landers and former wife Rosalva; mother Estelle, all of Anchorage, Alaska; father and stepmother Marlin and June Landers of Brentwood, Tenn., stepfather Jack Sheeper of Memphis, Tenn.; extended family, the Cordero family of Anchorage, Alaska, Frank and Lucie Herring of Douglasville, Ga., Edward Christman of Tillamook, Ore. and his beloved pets Otis and Amigo.
Mark was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold and Arlene Scott, his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Gladys Hellums and his best friend Rebel.
