No. 2 Russellville improves to 24-0

MOULTON – The second-ranked Russellville boys improved to 24-0 with an 81-65 win at Lawrence County Tuesday night.
Senior point guard Siran Winston scored a game-high 27 points, while Terence Smith added 20 points and Cory Trapp had 14 for Russellville.
Blaine Terry finished with a team-high 16 points for Lawrence County.
Phillips 68
Belgreen 53
BEAR CREEK – The Belgreen boys lost 68-53 on the road Tuesday as Phillips' Andy Pounders scored a game-high 28 points.
Shane Fretwell led Belgreen (6-15) with 14 points, while the Black Bears' (19-6) Adam McCarley added 12.
Girls
Lawrence County 67
Russellville 55
The Lawrence County girls defeated Russellville 67-55 Tuesday.
Victoria Taylor led the Lady Golden Tigers with 16 points, while Erin Reynolds had 14 and Tasha West added 11.
Nakia McDaniel finished with 20 points for the Lady Red Devils.
Belgreen 57
Phillips 46
The Class 1A, Area 16 champion Belgreen girls picked up a 57-46 road win Tuesday against Phillips.
Martha Billingham paced Belgreen with 10 points, while Candie Rae led the Lady Bears with 16.
Haleyville 64
Phil Campbell 51
HALEYVILLE – Despite a game-high 26 points from Chasity Morgan, Phil Campbell fell 64-51 at Haleyville Tuesday.
Caroline King led the Lady Lions with 25 points, while Emily Taylor added 16 and Brooke Bailey had 10.
