I am thankful for:

By By Jerry Fancher
My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The Bible. God's Holy Word, where we can find the answers to all of life's problems and instructions on how to live our lives.
My wife Judy. God gave her to me, and she has stood by and supported me for 39 years.
Our sons and daughters-in-law and grandchildren. Michael and Merideth, who will give us our first granddaughter in February. Mark and Sabrina and our grandson John Mark. Matthew and Leigh Anne, who were married this summer.
That I had the opportunity to see our children grow up into fine young men.
For my mother and father, Dale and Pauline White Fancher. They carried me to church and set a good example before me and my sister.
My sister Judy McCreary, who is always there.
My in-laws, Lora Hall and the late James Eules Hall. I have always been treated like their son.
My church, First Baptist Church in Red Bay.
That I was born and have spent most of my life in this area. For 18 years of my working life, I traveled the southeast. When my customers and I would talk about where we lived, they often said that I was fortunate to live in this area.
That I live in America. I have talked to people who have traveled to other countries, and they tell of the harsh lives these people have to endure.
For our founding fathers who established a government that has endured.
For our veterans who have made our freedom possible.
For our military personnel who are putting their lives in peril so we may enjoy our freedom.
For all the law enforcement officers, emergency medical personnel and firefighters who protect us.
There is not enough space to list all the blessings that I have received. I encourage you to take the time to "count your blessings one by one." You will be surprised at how long the list is.
