Claude Potter, 88, of Russellville died Tuesday, September 4, 2007.
Mr. Potter was a native of Morgan County and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Russellville. He was a retired farmer and security guard from the State of Alabama.
Funeral services were held Sept. 6, 2007 at 2 p.m. with Jim Lumpkin officiating. Burial followed in Cherry Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Louise Hallmark Potter, of Russellville; children, Mavis (Tom) Snider, of Pearl, Miss., Carolyn (OD) Mitchell, of Russellville, Dwayne (Lynda) potter, of Russellville, Alice Faye (Tom) McFarland, of Auburn, Joann (Charles) Pounders, of Spruce Pine, Rita (Johnny) Pennington, of Spruce Pine, Jimmy (Lynda) Potter, of Phil Campbell, Kathy (Ernie) Blasingame, of Tuscumbia and Mike (Ginger) Potter, of Haleyville; brothers, Percy Potter, of Leighton, Corbett Potter, of Leighton, Edison Potter, of Russellville, Elvert Potter, of Russellville; 34 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers include, Barry Potter, JD Potter, John Moravec, Jay Pounders, Mark Potter, Rodney Alexander and Joey Smith.
He was preceded in death by his children, Johnnie Marie Potter Alexander, Claudie Leon Potter, Linda Nell Potter Robledo and parents, Chester and Margaret Phillips Potter.

Carrie Nancy Burns Cagle

Carrie Nancy Burns Cagle, 96, of Phil Campbell, passed away Sept. 3, 2007 at Russellville Hospital. She was the last surviving child of 14 born to John F. and Georgia Ann Curtis Burns. She was a member of Bear Creek No. 1 Baptist Church and a retired schoolteacher, having taught for 33 years.
Funeral services were held Sept. 5 with Bro. Jim Bishop officiating. Burial followed in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebekah (Alton) Romine; grandsons, Stan (Donna) Romine and Merv Romine and great-grandson, Will (Christie Lee) Romine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer W. Cagle; great-granddaughter, Misty Elizabeth Romine; parents, Frank and Georgia Ann Burns; brothers, Meade, Wash, Tom, John, Ben, Floyd and Raymond Burns; sisters, Alice Jo Young, Hazel Hoover, Dona Bowman, Christine White, Amy Moore and Omah Horne.
Kenneth Wayne Clayton

Kenneth Wayne Clayton, 32, of Haleyville, passed away Sept. 1, 2007. He was employed at Bama Drive In Restaurant.
Funeral services were held Sept. 4, 2007 with Larry Riddle officiating. Burial followed in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Clayton, of Haleyville; children, Braden Clayton and Brody Clayton, of Vicksburg, Miss.; sister, Tammy Thompson, of Moulton; a host of friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Clayton.
Regina Martin Lobello

Regina Martin Lobello, 52, of Trussville, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham.
She was a native of Franklin County and a member of the Baptist church. She was a graduate of Phil Campbell High School and retired from an antique business.
Funeral services were held Sept. 6 with Jerome Sherrill officiating. Burial followed in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
Survivors include her parents, Tom and Polly Martin, of Trussville; sister, Peggy (Mike) Bostick, of Trussville; nephew, Marty Bostick; great-nephews, Dallas and Andrew Bostick; great-niece, Sandi Bostick and a host of cousins and friends.
Luvellia Byrd Hyde

Luvellia Byrd Hyde, age 90, of Russellville, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007.
She is survived by daughters, Peggy Innocenti and husband, Pete, Emogene Baker, and husband, Freed; daughter in law, Glenda Hyde; sisters, Bernice Sockwell, Earlene Byrd and Faye Bendall; grandchildren, Deborah Wise, Sherri Casto, Paula Klasing, Scott Hyde; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Sept. 9, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Richardson officiating.
Ms. Hyde, who had complete faith and love in God and was baptized a very young woman, attended Eastside Church of Christ until she was physically unable to attend. As a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and working in her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hyde; son, Ray Lee Hyde; parents, Felix and Eva Byrd; sister, Excellia Gay; brother, L.A. Byrd; and granddaughter, Gina Innocenti.
Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville assisted the family.
Elvin "Billy" Lovett

Elvin "Billy" Lovett, 79, of Winfield passed away Sept. 2, 2007 at the Care Center of Vernon. He retired from 3M Corporation and was a member of the Winfield Freewill Baptist Church.
Graveside services were held Sept. 5 at Cooper Cemetery in Detroit, Ala. with William E. Atkinson officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Kathleen Lovett, of Winfield; children, Dale (Judy) Lovett, of Brilliant, Glenda (Karl) Hassler, of Dallas, Geo., Pam (Jeff) Mobley, of Hamilton and Tim Lovett, of Winfield; siblings, Winnie (Bill) Henderson, of Winfield; Jim Dewell (Dru) Lovett, of Winfield; JP Lovett, of Winfield, Barto Lovett, of Hamilton; 9 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas and Beulah Lovett and several brothers and sisters.
Lewis Warren Rawson

Lewis Warren Rawson, age 70, of Golden, Miss. died Sept. 2, 2007 at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born February 23, 2937 to Tom and Mary Rawson.
He was a retired truck driver, and a member of Pineville Baptist Church. He proceeded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Sept. 4, 2007 at Pineville Baptist Church with Bro. J.C. Blackburn and Bro. John Oliver officiating. Burial was in the Old Burleson Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Rawson of Golden; special friend and brother, Archie Smith of Gulfport, Miss; son, Kenneth Rawson and, wife, Deanna of Oxford, Miss.; two stepsons, Jeffery M. Thorn, and wife, Barbara, of Golden, and Tim Thorn and wife, Melissa, of Red Bay; daughter, Sherry Fay Rawson of Winona, Miss.; nine grandchildren, Trent Erin Matthes, Brittany Thorn, Blake Thorn, Briana Thorn, Heather Thorn, Payton Thorn, Ben Floid, Adam Floid, and Emily Floid; and one great grandchild, Halie Rogers, and many nieces and nephews and friends.
Pallbearers for the service were Hollis Holland, Larry Burks, Blake Thorn, O'Neal Hammock, Bunt Burks, and J.E. Gasaway.
In lieu of flowers, sent memorials to Pineville Baptist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
Deaton Funeral Home of Red Bay assisted the family.
Darlene Ledbetter

Darlene Ledbetter, age 65, of Vina, died Aug. 31, 2007 at his residence. She was born April 15, 1942 in Franklin County to Thurston and Pearlie Thorn Ledbetter.
She was a seamstress for Lance and Wrangler for 20 years. She was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother, and her parents.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 3, 2007 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. W.D. Humphres officiating. Burial was in the Old Burleson cemetery.
She was survived by three sisters, Nancy Hudson and husband, Lesley, of Garden City, Ala., Thelma Guerra and Jane Ledbetter of Vina; three nephews, one niece, and three great nieces.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Greg Miller, Lesley Hudson, Leburn Keeton, Jeff Hudson, Wayne Holcomb, and Tommy Hindman. Deaton Funeral Home of Red Bay assisted the family.
