Martha Louise Conwill, age 69, of Golden, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at Red Bay Hospital.
Mrs. Conwill was a native of Alabama and was an employee of the Red Bay Nursing Home for 17 years. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Joel Rex Conwill; her parents, Cliff and Vera Jackson; and a brother, James Richard Jackson.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2004, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. James Toone and Bro. Lynton Younger officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Anthony Boyd, Lowell Jackson, Darrell Ray, Dale Ray, Pete Elrod and Billy Adams.
Mrs. Conwill is survived by a daughter, Barbara Lynn Wilson and husband Marion, of Russellville; a son, Rex Allen Conwill of Golden, Mississippi; four sisters, Vertie Mae Harrison of Fulton, Mississippi, Bernice Scoby and husband David, of Imperial, Missouri, Faye Toone and husband James, of Trinity, and Helen Ray and husband Jimmy, of Golden, Mississippi; a brother, Ray Jackson and wife Melba, of Tremont, Mississippi; a granddaughter, Courtney Lee Conwill of Golden, Mississippi; a grandson, Patrick Adam Wilson of Russellville; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Vicky Thompson.
Deaton Funeral Home assisted the family.

Betty Jo Stevenson, age 69, of Tuscumbia, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2004.
Mrs. Stevenson went to be with the Lord. She was a native of Logan County, West Virginia, and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Marie Cox; a brother, Jimmy Brown; and a son, "Butch" Billy Ray Stevenson.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2004, at New Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Beasley of New Bethel Baptist Church and Bro. Rod Stansky and Phillip Lamb of Wiregrass Hospice officiating. Interment was in New Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Stevenson is survived by her husband, Billy Stevenson; a daughter, Brenda Kirk and husband Roger Dale Kirk, of Tuscumbia; two stepdaughters, Norma Jean Horner and husband Paul, of Ohio, and Mary Jo Sines and husband Jerry, of Ohio; a sister, Linda Mosher of Ashtabela, Ohio; two brothers, Douglas Brown of Florida and Michael Brown of Ohio; two grandchildren, Roger Dale Kirk, Jr. and wife Pam, of Tuscumbia, and Tim Kirk of Tuscumbia; and six great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Wiregrass Hospice, Mid-South and Robin.
