25th anniversary
Joe and Ann Tanner will celebrate their 25th anniversary on July 5, 2004 with family. They have five children, Joey Tanner and his wife, Pam, Marcus Tanner and his wife, Stephanie, Don Carney Jr. and his wife, Liz, Donna Morris and her husband, Richard, and Cindy Garrett and her husband, Frank. They have 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
37th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Mack Phillips celebrated their 37th anniversary on July 2, 2004. The couple were married July 2, 1967, at Fairhope Baptist Church in Demopolis, Ala. The Phillips have three children, Tanya Spears, Michael Phillips and Paul Phillips. Mr. Phillips is employed with the 186th Air National Guard Civil Service at Key Field. He is currently serving in Turkey. Mrs. Phillips is employed at West Lauderdale Elementary School.
50th anniversary
Russell D. and Isabel Mary Tucker recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. They were married June 26, 1954, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Greenville. Their children are, Scott Tucker and his wife, Yolanda, Kevin Tucker and his wife, Margaret, Brandi Tucker, Kelly Tucker, Steven Tucker, Michael Tucker and his wife, Claudia, and Dr. Kathleen Shine her husband, Rob. They have eight grandchildren. The Tuckers live in Meridian and attend St. Patrick Catholic Church. Mrs. Tucker is the former Isabel Mary Minton.
50th anniversary
Harold and Malese Mayo of Reeds Spring, Mo., will be celebrating their 50th anniversary with numerous occasions over the summer with family and friends. The Mayos were married July 11, 1954, at First Baptist Church in Newton by the Rev. R.T.B. Levell. They have two children, Missie Carpenter and her husband, Jeff, and the late David Mayo; and three grandchildren, Trisha, Melanie and Katie Carpenter of Mansfield, Ohio. Mrs. Mayo is the former Malese Meaders.
50th anniversary
Vernon A. and Virginia Boyette Tice celebrated their 50th anniversary on Saturday, July 3, 2004, with a reception hosted by their six children. The reception was held at Travis Road Baptist Church in Mobile, Ala. The couple were married July 2, 1954, in Meridian by the Rev. Albert Miller at Carmel Baptist Church. Their children are Kay Smith and her husband, Ricky, Darrell Tice and his wife, Sharon, Andy Tice and his wife, Kay, Gayla Gardner and her husband, Brian, Bo Tice and his wife, Rhonda, and Tony Tice and his wife, Amanda. They have 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
