BUTLER, Ala. Services for Richard D. Thomas will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Eureka Baptist Church with the Revs. Ted Kitchen and Ed Holloman officiating. Burial will be in Eureka Cemetery. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Thomas, 64, of Lisman, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at Hill Hospital in York. He was a veteran of the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia G. Thomas of Cromwell, Ala.; a son, Keith Thomas and his wife, Rhonda, of Meridian; daughters, Ginger Borden and her husband, Bubba, of Pensacola, Fla., Diane Allen and her husband, Lee, of Cromwell and Susan Linton and her husband, Bruce, of Woodlands, Texas; a brother, H.M. Thomas of Stonewall; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Betty Dean McGruder will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with the Rev. Elvin Sunds officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McGruder, 54, of Meridian, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a social worker with the Lauderdale County Mississippi Department of Health.
Survivors include her daughter, Yolanda Jones and a grandson, Xavier Jones, both of Meridian; several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lena M. Dean; and her father, Johnnie W. Dean.
Visitation will be Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Susan Inez Ferguson will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Services Chapel with the Revs. Benny Alford and Brown Barrier officiating. Burial will be in Sandtown Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Mrs. Ferguson, 85, of Natchez, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at Natchez Regional Hospital.
Survivors include her daughters, Pauline Birkelback of Belleville, Texas, and Barbara Ann Stokes of Liberty; sons, W. Perry Ferguson of Natchez and T. Vestal Ferguson of Wisner, La.; 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ellie Ree Seale of Philadelphia, Earsel Bender of Las Vegas and Everlyn McCasdle of Gulfport; brothers, Hubbard Alford and Tom Alford, both of Philadelphia, Dezmon Alford of Madison and Austin Alford of Mobile, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Dutch" Ferguson; and a son, Samuel Gary Ferguson.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

BUTLER, Ala. Services for Myrtle Jenkins will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Chapel Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Ross officiating. Burial will be in Mosley Cemetery in Gilbertown. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jenkins, 83, of Lucedale, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at George County Hospital.
Survivors include her eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T. Clayton Jenkins; sons, Jerry Dale Jenkins and David Ronald Jenkins; and a daughter, Barbara Ann Jenkins.
Visitation will be Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
