Moore, Rogers

Holly Elizabeth Rogers and Dr. Jonathan Houston Moore, both of Jackson, were married Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at Lovely Lane Chapel at Epworth Methodist Center, Saint Simons Islands, Ga., with Elder Thomas Waters officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Danny Rogers of Waycross, Ga., and Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Houston Moore Jr. of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. J. Delmas Rogers of Screven, Ga., the late William M. Howard Sr. of Savannah, Ga., Juanita Mikell of Screven and the late A.M. Mikell.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Houston Moore Sr. of Meridian, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Warren Grafton of Cincinnati.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Robert Zielinski, violinist; and Sally Jenkins, flautist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white chiffon empire waistline gown embellished with Venise lace and long sleeves. The chiffon fingertip-length veil and headband were adorned with white beading. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies, white and red roses.
Lori S. Rogers attended her sister as maid of honor.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Dr. Daniel S. Moore of Dallas, brother of the bridegroom, and R. Tyler Akers of Meridian.
A dinner reception was held at J. Mac's Island Restaurant on Saint Simons Island following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon cruise in the Western Caribbean, the couple resides in Jackson. The bride is assistant professor in the departments of pharmacy practice and medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. The bridegroom is a senior ophthalmology resident physician in the department of ophthalmology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
