Rebecca Evelyn Henley and Benjamin Jeffery Moffett exchanged vows recently in a noon ceremony at Christ United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr. Jim Porter officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. William Saunders Henley II of Jackson, and Mr. and Mrs. John Jeffery Moffett of Meridian.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harris Brand Henley and the late Rebecca Williams Henley of Hazlehurst, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bryan Gooch Jr. of Selmer, Tenn.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Lee Lummus, and Mr. and Mrs. John Willis Moffett, all of Meridian.
Music was provided by Patsy Simpson, organist; and Catherine Carter, vocalist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a satin A-line gown with an asymmetrical draped skirt accented on either side by a two-tone ivory and rum pink beaded Schiffli lace strapless bodice.
The skirt featured an inverted pleat lined with Schiffli lace ending in a scalloped hemline sweeping into a chapel-length train. Her two-tiered waist-length ivory tulle veil, scattered with rhinestones and edged in satin cording, was anchored by a pearl tiara.
Sarah Grace Henley of Jackson, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Katherine Gooch Blasingame of Nashville, Tenn., cousin of the bride. Honorary bridesmaids were Jennifer Inman Allen of Columbia, S.C., Amanda Parrish Milner of Jackson, Kelly Lee Pratt of Atlanta and Erin Claire Reed of Nashville.
Jesse Dillon Moffett of Meridian, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsman was Joe Green Ulmer III of Jackson. Ushers were Dwight Edwin Brannon of Collinsville, Matthew Lennis Ingram of Clinton and David Alton Leach of Little Rock.
A reception was held at the home of the bride following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in Maui, the couple resides in Oxford, where both are first year law students at the University of Mississippi.
