Buckalew, Hunter

Jeanie Rene Hunter and Christopher Alan Buckalew, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Len McRaney officiating.
Parents of the couple are George Hunter and Bobbie Hunter Thompson, and Alan and Vicki Buckalew, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. George Hunter Sr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bob Urston.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Ruby Buckalew and the late Ottis R. Buckalew.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Robin Butler, organist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white satin gown featuring a halter-style neckline with appliqued rose pattern lace that was trimmed in sequins, rhinestones, bugle beads and seed pearls. The appliques flowed down the princess panel bodice and traveled onto the back skirt and chapel-length train. The hemline was edged in the rose patterned lace that encircled the entire train.
Maid of honor was Kim Smith of Meridian. Other attendants were Ashley Allen of Stonewall, Crystal Hughes of Meridian and Joy Carey of Decatur.
Doug Smith of Meridian was best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Jay Mackey, Glenn Buckalew and Troy Buckalew, all of Meridian and brothers of the bridegroom.
A reception was held in the Family Life Center following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Teresa Mackey, Courtney Mackey and Brittany Joiner.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the Grand Cayman and Cozumel, the couple resides in Meridian.
