Services for Whitney Michelle Shumock will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Frank Boyette, Keith Bogan, Steve Pouncey and Slate Moore officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Shumock, 13, of Meridian, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, in Meridian. She was a student at Clarkdale High School and previously attended Enterprise Public Schools. She was a member of the Clarkdale Junior High School girl's basketball team and the Quitman Softball Association. She was also a member of the Brats with Bats Softball Team.
Survivors include her mother, Rachael Shumock of Meridian; her father, Mark Shumock of Rose Hill; a sister, Megan Shumock of Meridian; grandparents, Rosa Sadler and her husband, Johnny, of Pensacola, Fla., and Shirley and Bubba Shumock of Rose Hill; great-grandparents, Ruth Cumbie of Little River, Ala., and Allison Shumock of Moss Point; aunts, Amanda Ryals and her husband, Kenny Wayne, of Hattiesburg, Abby Brown and her husband, Kevin, of Louin; an uncle, Curt Shumock and his fiance, Blair Brown, of Rose Hill; and several other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, William Walker and Gulie Cumbie.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services for Roger E. Nutt were to be held today at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Cothern officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Nutt, 76, of Meridian, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at Beverly Healthcare of Meridian. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson. He was retired after 35 years with the Mississippi Industries for the Blind.
Survivors include his brother, Roy Nutt and his wife, Betty, of Montgomery, Ala.; sisters, Edna Spurlin and her husband, Tom, of Gulfport and Lynn Brown and her husband, Joe, of Austin, Texas; and a sister-in-law, Julia Nutt of Enterprise.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Windham Nutt and Mattie Anderson Nutt; sisters, Helen Priester and Doris Williamson and Dorothy Spurlin; and brothers, James E. Nutt and Joe Lovell Nutt.
GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Dottie Mae Byrd Luker will be held today at noon at Needham Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Jimmy Moore and James Irby officiating. Burial will be in Excel Cemetery. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Luker, 86, of Needham, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, in her home.
Survivors include her daughters, Dottie Joe Whittington and her husband, Lindsey Earl, and Claudia Ann Cummings and her husband, Colin, all of Needham; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Joe Allen Luker.

SEBASTOPOL Services for Randall Morris Sr. will be held today at 2 p.m. at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Doby Henry officiating. Burial will be in the Community Cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Morris, 37, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, in Neshoba County.
Survivors include his daughter, Christy McMillan of Philadelphia; sons, Randall Morris Jr. of Anadarko, Okla., and Randall Morris Jr. of Philadelphia; his mother, Bessie Morris and his grandmother, Beauty Morris, both of Philadelphia; brothers, Jimmy Fraizer of Bentonville, Ark., Larry Morris of Florence, Colo., Harris Morris of Minneapolis and Burnice Morris of Philadelphia; sisters, Nickey and Carolyn, Arlen Toledo, Mary Norris and Pauline Williams, all of Philadelphia, and Melba Clark of Norman, Okla.; a half-sister, Eunice Joe of Preston; four aunts, one uncle, several nieces and nephews.
Services for Ernestine Rose Ziegenbalg Robinson will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Robinson, 76, of Meridian, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, in her home.
Survivors include her sons, William R. "Bill" Robinson Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Meridian, Michael D. Robinson and his wife, Debra, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Russell A. Robinson of Daphne, Ala.; sisters, Elsie Timerman of Hondo, Texas, and Theresa Colbert of Rice Lake, Wis.; grandchildren, Chris Robinson, Kevin Robinson and Josh Robinson; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Genesis Robinson; and a lifelong special friend, Hewitt Stodard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Robinson Sr.; and her parents, William and Lillie Ziegenbalg.
Pallbearers will be Jay Arrington, Joshua Robinson, Kevin Robinson, Chris Robinson, Phil Thrash and Charles Iseke.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Owen Pharmaceutical employee
Services for Sloane McLendon will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Irby officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Mr. McLendon, 25, of Meridian, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and employed by Owen Pharmaceutical at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was also a musician and writer.
Survivors include his mother, Linda I. McLendon and his father, Victor G. McLendon; a sister, Lynne Smith and her husband, Greg, all of Quitman; brothers, Mike McLendon of Seattle, Jeff McLendon of Houston, Texas, and Ian McLendon of Quitman; a niece, Eden Smith and maternal grandmother, Corene Irby, both of Quitman; paternal grandmother, Lennie McLendon of Laurel; and his fiance, Amber Phillips of Meridian.
Memorials may be made to Lauderdale County Humane Society or a favorite charity.
Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Smith, Mark Smith, Matthew Smith, David Langley and Sam Leggett.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

SEBASTOPOL Services for George Cotton will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Crystal Ridge Mennonite Church in Winston County with the Rev. Ethan Goode officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cotton, 57, of Louisville, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, at Winston County Medical Center.
Survivors include his sisters, Pauline Lewis and Christine Cotton, both of Philadelphia; brothers, Huston Cotton of Louisville and David Cotton of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.
