Survivors include her daughter, Mevelyn Raley Ross of Meridian; a sister, Ruth Gamblin of Meridian; three grandchildren, Dena Patterson and her husband, Joey, of Meridian, Sherry R. Truesdale and her husband, Sonny, of Albany, Ga. and Jimmy Ross and his wife, Donna, of Birmingham, Ala.; six great-grandchildren and a special niece, Ann Boswell of Meridian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Miller and Fronie Dearman Miller and her husbands, Melvin Raley and Willie Willingham.
Pallbearers will be Zach Truesdale, Adam Truesdale, Jim Ross, Sonny Truesdale, Joey Patterson, and Bob Raley.
JACKIE MAULDIN
Retired
Graveside services for Jackie Mauldin will be held today at 3 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Andy Murry officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Mauldin, of Meridian, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at Heartfelt Hospice. She was a retired counselor at Weems Mental Health Center.
Survivors include her son, L.C. "Rick" Mauldin and his wife, Sallie, two grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland O. Mauldin.
DANIEL GRADY PHILLIPS
School Administrator
LINTON, Ind. Services for Daniel Grady Phillips will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with the Rev. Mike Douglas officiating. Burial will be in Bluegrass Cemetery in Evansville.
Mr. Phillips, 63, of Linton, Ind.,formerly of Meridian, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was School Administrator for Linton-Stockton High School, Assistant Principal and Athletic Director from 1974- 1981 and Junior High Principal from 1980-1998. He was a teacher, and coached football during the past 35 years. He was a member of Saron United Church of Christ, Linton Rotary Club, where he served twice as president. He was also a member of Elks BPOE #866 and worked with Hoop Shoot Program, and was in the Association of Secondary School Principals.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Goerges Phillips of Linton, Ind.; his son, Daniel Grady Phillips II and his wife, Patricia, of Vincennes, Ind., a daughter, Kimberly Ann Robison and her husband, Tom, of Linton, Ind.; grandchildren, Kyle McKee, Olivia Robison and Madeline Robison; and his father, Grady Eugene Phillips of Linton.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertie Page Phillips.
Memorials may be made to the Elks Scholarship Fund.
Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.- 8 p.m. and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
DAVID O. LEWIS
UTICA Services for David O. Lewis will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Utica United Methodist Church in Utica with the Revs. Rob Hill and Sue Michaels officiating. Burial will be in Mobley Cemetery in Utica. Glenwood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Lewis, 49, of Utica, died Thursday, July 11, 2002, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Mr. Lewis was born in Philadelphia and has been a resident of Utica most of his life. He was employed by Reedtown Water Association and a member of the Utica United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary F. Lewis, of Utica; two daughters, Stacy Jean Bryan of Philadelphia and Tatum O'Neal Hester of Utica; a step-son, Samual Todd Pitman of Jackson; his mother, Annie Opal Mobley and step-father, Robert E. Mobley, of Utica; a sister, Brenda Kirkland of Palm Bay, Fla.; and a brother, Robert E. Mobley Jr. of Pearl; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Utica United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
RUTH OLIVER PRICE
Retired businesswoman
Services will be held for Ruth Oliver Price Saturday, July 13, at 11 a.m. at Russell Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Keith Thrash officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Price, 94, of Meridian, died Thursday, July 11, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include two sons, Gregg Price and his wife, Jeanette and Jimmy Price; a brother, Sgt. Maj. Jack Oliver, and wife, Jacki; and grandchildren, Lucas Price, Tabitha Price, and Brandy Price Tiller, all of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Langford; her parents Oliver and Ossie Oliver; and a nephew, Sgt. James T. Oliver.
Mrs. Price was a long-time member of Russell Baptist Church having served as secretary/treasurer for approximately 40 years. She was an active member of Russell Baptist Church since 1928. An active businesswoman, she was employed by F. W. Williams State Agency and USF&G for a span of 35 years. She had an avid love for bowling and travel. Pallbearers will be T. W. Calcote, John Harper, Butch Harper, Ted Sellers, Perry Sims and Willie F. Thompson.
Visitation will be held at the church one hour before services.
VIRGIE JONES
Homemaker
Services for Virgie Jones will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Prospect Baptist Church in Savoy. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery in Savoy. Berry &Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Jones, 88, of Meridian died Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at her home.
Survivors include sons Billy Joe Jones and wife Mary, Ollie Jones and wife Eva, Calvin Jones and Rene, and Lester Jones, all of Meridian; son, Robert Jones, of Kileen, Texas; step-daughter, Peggie Jean Jones, of Los Angeles, Calif.; sister, Francis McDade, of Meridian; and 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 12, from7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
SYLVIA A. STEPHENS
Arrangements are incomplete for Sylvia A. Stephens at James F. Webb Funeral Home. Mrs. Stephens, 55, of Meridian, died Thursday, July 11, 2002, at Queen City Nursing Center.
