    FRANCES EVA MYERS

    FOREST Services for Frances Eva Myers will be held today at 2 p.m. at Ott and Lee Funeral Home. Burial will be in Goodhope Cemetery.
    Mrs. Myers, 81, of Newton, died Friday, March 29, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    She lived most of her life in the Goodhope Community near Lake and moved to Newton 15 years ago. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church
    Survivors include her daughter, Eva Carol Goff of Wade; one son, Billy Myers of DeKalb; one sister, Mary Pace of Newton; one brother, George "Buddy" Mabry of Lake; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Myers in 1975.
    Visitation is 10:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. today at the funeral home.
    BILLY PARKER

    PHILADELPHIA Services for Billy Parker will be held today at 3 p.m. at McClain-Hays Chapel with the Revs. Mike Sullivan and David Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery in the House Community of Neshoba County.
    Mr. Parker, 62, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, March 28, 2002, at his home.
    Survivors include his wife, Portia Parker of Philadelphia; four daughters, Miranda McGee of Philadelphia, Kimberly Winters of Louisville, Carol Winters of Philadelphia and Theresa Wiggs of Union; three sons, Bobby, Jerome and Dewayne Parker, all of Philadelphia; 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Mary Burt of Toomsuba, and Mildred McCullum of Dalewood; and four brothers, Jimmy, Paul and David Parker, all of Philadelphia, and Bobby W. Parker of Belzoni.
    BIRTIE LYNN ROEBUCK SAVELL

    NEWTON Services for Birtie Lynn Roebuck Savell will be held today at 3 p.m. at Hazel Baptist Church with the Revs. Randall Creel, Dr. Leon Everett, Clifton Thornton, Reggie Williams, Michael J. Fondren Sr., and Curtis Cain officiating. Burial will be in Hazel Baptist Church Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Music for the service will be rendered by Marion Felton. Musicians for the service will be Tanya Phillips, pianist, and Brenda Creel, organist.
    Mrs. Savell, 55, of Lake, died Thursday, March 28, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    She was born on June 28, 1946, to the late Virgil Madison Roebuck and Birtie Meeks Roebuck. The Newton County native was a 1963 honor graduate of Union High School in Union. She also attended East Central Junior College in Decatur before attending the University of Southern Mississippi where she graduated with honors in 1967 where she later received a master's degree in English and journalism.
    Her teaching career spanned a tenure of more than 32 years ending in 1999. Mrs. Savell taught for the Union Public School System, the Newton Public School System, Clarke Memorial College and East Central Community College.
    She was a member of the Mississippi Professional Educator's Association and other various civic organizations.
    She was a member of Hazel Baptist Church in Lake.
    Survivors include her husband, whom she wed on June 22, 1973, D. Marcus "Mark" Savell of Lake; one daughter, Jennifer Lynn Savell of Lake; three sons, James M. "Jim" Savell, William R. Savell and Robert W. Savell, all of Lake; mother-in-law, Winnie Pierce Savell of Union; two aunts, several special cousins and many friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Madison Roebuck and Birtie Meeks Roebuck, and her father-in-law, the Rev. Didymus D. Savell.
    The family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Gideons International, Inc., P.O. Box 297, Newton, MS 39345.
    Visitation will be today 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Paulbearers will be George Clark, Ed Amis, Dwight Brown, Jack Crosby, Lewis Crosby, Daniel Nester, David Hensley, Gary Pinson, Elton Wall, Dr. Larry Haley, Billy Pierce and Marcus Gordon.
    Honorary pallbearers will be John Lewis Hensley, Edward Nester, Delbert Walton, Harmon Crosby, Clemon Easom, Harry Thompson, Jimmy Dale Bryant and Marion Felton.

    BUTLER, Ala. Services for Ennis Woodruff Roberts will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will be in Gilbertown Cemetery with Bumpers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Roberts, 85, of Gilbertown, Ala., died Thursday, March 28, 2002, at his home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during World War II.
    Survivors include his wife, Lillian M. Roberts of Gilbertown; one son, Jimmy Roberts of Butler; and one daughter, Voncile Pearce of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
    Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    MABLE CARR HURT HERRINGTON

    LOUISVILLE Services for Mable Carr Hurt Herrington will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Ellison Ridge Baptist Church with the Revs. Tommy Cherry and Grady Crowell officiating. Burial will be in Ellison Ridge Cemetery with Porter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Herrington, 80, of Winston County, died Friday, March 29, 2002, at her home. She was a member of Ellison Ridge Baptist Church.
    Survivors include her daughter, Frances Hurt of Louisville; one son, James Walter Hurt of Phoenix City, Ala.; four sisters, Mildred McLeod, Maxine Hurt, Miron Hill and Margaret Rogers, all of Louisville; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    MELVIA A. MAZINGO

    Services for Melvia A. Mazingo will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Paul McDonald and Gerald Chaney officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in the Bonita Community.
    Mrs. Mazingo, 83, of Meridian, died Friday, March 29, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    She was a member of Bonita United Methodist Church, owner and operator of Mazingo Grocery Store, an assistant postmistress at Bonita, a member of the Dorcas Sunday School class and a member of the administrative board of her church.
    Survivors include her son, Larry Mazingo and his wife, Martha, of Meridian; daughter, Barbara Ann House and her husband, John "Scoot" of Meridian; four grandchildren, Dennis Mazingo and his wife Dee, Leslie Jenkins and her husband Jay, Dana Davis and her husband Charles, and Tiffany Hinson and her husband Ty; five great-grandchildren, Kyle Espey, Tyler and Saylor Henson, Blane Davis and Anna Kate Mazingo; one brother, Richard Ward and his wife, Sue, of Bay St. Louis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, R.L. Mazingo.
    The family requests that memorials be made to Bonita United Methodist Church.
    Visitation will be Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers will be Steve Horn, Jeff Horn, Wayne Woodrick, Harold Wayne Mazingo, Bill Jenkins, Terry Hamrick, Teddy Yeatman and Bobby Kidd.
    Honorary pallbearer will be Kyle Espey.
