    RUDOLPH STRICKLAND

    Memorial services for Rudolph Strickland were held Sunday at Remnant Baptist Church near Sebastopol.
    Mr. Strickland, 72, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2001, in his home.
    Survivors include two sons, Irby Strickland and Teddy Strickland, a daughter, Tammy Strickland, grandchildren, Daniel Pittman, Angela Strickland, Desarae Strickland, Matthew Strickland, Jacob Strickland and Lacy Strickland, all of Meridian; five brothers and two sisters.

    Graveside services for Alma V. Harris were to be held today at 10 a.m. at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Paul McDonald officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Harris, 89, of Meridian, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at King's Daughters and Sons Rest Home. She was a former laundromat operator and laundry supervisor at Queen City Nursing Center. She was a member of Bonita United Methodist Church, where she taught children's Sunday school classes for many years.
    Survivors include two sisters, Beulah McLemore and Eula Moulds, both of Meridian; a brother, Paul Wellborn of Lake Alfred, Fla.; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
    She was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Wellborn.
    JOE HAGWOOD
    Market manager at Winn-Dixie
    Services for Joe Hagwood will be held today at 1 p.m. at Center Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Ervin Mooney, Ernest Allen, Weston Burnside and Danny Balint officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Hagwood, 47, of Causeyville, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, in his home. He was the market manager of Winn-Dixie for 30 years, president of the Causeyville Volunteer Fire Department, the owner of Causeyville Deer Processors and coached a little league baseball team in Causeyville. He was also a member of the Center Grove Baptist Church and a member of the Causeyville Community Club.
    Survivors include his wife, Pat Hagwood, his son, Jason Hagwood, and his mother, Susie Hagwood, all of Causeyville; a mother-in-law, Dot Gressett, and a sister-in-law, Marie Jackson and her husband, Arnold, all of Jackson; a brother-in-law, L.D. Gressett of Meridian; an aunt, Jane Watkins of Meridian; aunts and uncles, Lula and Warren Daniels of Meridian, and Lois and Gerald Roberson of Causeyville; an uncle, Reed Hagwood and an aunt, Janie Hagwood, both of Meridian.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Hagwood.
    Pallbearers will be Lynn Culpepper, Mike Jones, Ray Boswell, Marvin Hagwood, LaNoyett Smith, Tommy Sides, James Kelley, Tommy McNair and Lamar Branning.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Winn-Dixie employees, members of the Causeyville Volunteer Fire Dept., Benny Hagwood, P.A. Thrash, Austin Thrash, Roger Harper and J.D. Neal.
    LARRY LOVERN

    PHILADELPHIA Services for Larry Lovern will be held today at 2 p.m. at New Zion United Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Albert Reid and Randall Dunaway officiating. Burial will be in Henry's Chapel Cemetery with McClain-Hays Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Lovern, 43, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Survivors include a son, Wesley Lovern of Philadelphia; a sister, Tammy Cooley of Meridian; and several aunts and uncles.
    SAMUEL CLARENCE SMITH
    Retired civil engineer Air National Guard
    Services for Samuel Clarence Smith will be held today at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Ennis Hyman officiating. Burial will be in Hester Cemetery.
    Mr. Smith, 74, of Meridian, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, in his home. He was a member of Collinsville Church of God.
    Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Willard and her husband, Dale, of Meridian; a grandson, Chris Dozier and his wife, Missye, and a great-granddaughter, Mallorye Dozier, all of Collinsville; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Smith; his parents, Samuel C. and Mary Smith; four brothers, George, Walter, Dovie and Odell Smith; and a sister, Ada McMullian.
    Pallbearers will be John Knight, James Sistrunk, Donald Smith, Mike Smith, Jeff Collum, Chad Rainer, Scotty Denton and Bruce Freeman.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Watson Jr., Ed Fears, Darryl Wiggins and Robert Baskett.
