50th anniversary
Robert and Sylvia Smiley
Robert and Sylvia Smiley will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception Sunday, June 24, 2001, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church in Forest. The couple requests no gifts. However, the couple's grandchildren are compiling a book of memories and asks those with a special memory of the couple to bring it to the reception. Family and friends are invited to attend.
40th anniversary
Mary and Thomas Kittrell
The children of Thomas and Mary Kittrell will host a reception to honor the couple's 40th anniversary on Saturday June 23, 2001, at 6:30 p.m. at the Lake Eddins Firehouse Meeting Center in Pachuta. The Kittrell's have five children; Betsy Mabry and her husband, Olen, of Virginia, Betty Sage and her husband, David, of Pachuta, Rachel Anderson and her husband, Walter, of Indiana, Martha Kittrell of Chunky and Sarah Sullivan and her husband, Tommy, of Collinsville; and nine grandchildren. The couple were married June 23, 1961, at the home of the Rev. Carl and Ellen Stephens of Collinsville. Family and friends are invited to attend the anniversary celebration.
