Phil Campbell volleyball team gets two area wins

The Phil Campbell Bobcat volleyball team is off to a strong start, going 3-0 on the road in area play.

The Bobcats beat Colbert County last Monday, 3-0, dominating 25-16, 25-21 and 25-10.

Against the Indians, Bradley McDaniel had 13 kills, Lexie Santoni eight aces and Leela Baker five kills and three blocks.

Phil Campbell followed their area win over Colbert County the next day at Colbert Heights, beating the Wildcats in a down-to-the-wire match, 3-2. Each set went the distance, 26-23, 23-25, 24-26, 25-20 and 17-15 with the Bobcats capping off the two-hour marathon win.

Against the Wildcats, Britney Coffman had 23 kills, Santoni 23 assists and Aspen Misner seven aces and 17 assists.

Phil Campbell added a 3-0 win at Sheffield on Monday night beating the Bulldogs 25-8, 25-21 and 25-18.

All three of the Bobcats’ remaining area games are at home beginning with Colbert Heights on Thursday.
