Franklin County Cattlemen donate beef to local schools

Franklin County Cattlemen donate beef to local schools

Franklin County Cattlemen Barry Moore, Michael Pounders, Caleb Beason and Jack Hargett deliver the Franklin County Cattlemen’s donation of 100 pounds of beef to each of four different schools’ Family and Consumer Sciences programs – RHS, PCHS, BHS and RBHS.

Accepting the donation are Mimi Wood, Belgreen FACS; Aleah Harris, Phil Campbell FACS); and Jordan Shelton, RHS FACS.

“This is a small part of what the Franklin County Cattlemen do to help promote beef in our area,” explained Pounders, president of the Franklin County Cattlemen. “The consumer science students will learn about different cuts of beef and how to prepare those cuts. This is paid from our yearly membership dues.”
